about

I started this blog to get some feedback on my writing, in combination with a poetry/photography project I did. I went on using it as a writing blog – the perfect way to procrastinate on any actual writing!

But I guess you came to this section to know who this person is that is writing this blog… The condensed version:

A thirty-something ex-teacher, graduate in human rights studies, currently working as a mentor in informal education. A traveller. An ardent music lover who is made happy for a whole week by a good live concert and can bore on and on and on talking about music. A girl who can’t quite believe she’s supposed to be an adult. A feminist. A believer in the good in humanity. A political human being with passionate views on the value of education and how most schools systems get it very, very wrong. A daydreamer, a wishful thinker, someone who was taugjt to be practical and had to learn how to be impractical sometimes. A feminist to the core. Someone whose head is filled by characters clamoring to be put on paper and who still struggles to do so, because she’s also a hidden perfectionist and can never quite believe that anything she writes will ever be good enough to be read by other people. Someone who loves reading, people, sitting in the sun, watching clouds, writing impressions and poetry, trying new things, cooking, learning, talking, dancing.

    • Hi Janet, I was very flattered when I read this, but I think you might have made a mistake? I think you posted this comment to me instead of to someone else, someone who is named in your post?

  10. Oh my gosh, I’m 61 and I still feel too young to grow up!!! You have a long way to go. Enjoy the ride.

    • šŸ™‚ Great to hear! I got into a bit of a panic when I turned thirty, but I’ve since learned that it’s really just more relaxed to focus on the moment and forget the stupid physical age.

      • EXACTLY! It takes a lifetime to stop doing that, though! Some people have more troubles than others, too. And troubles make you grow in different ways. I feel blessed. šŸ™‚

I haven’t been home for almost three weeks now, doing crazy-cool seminars with young adults – extremely challenging and also extremely rewarding. I know I’m sooooo overdue on an update, but on top of that my computer is trying to kill itself… Sending you energizing vibes and sunshine!
